The 7′ × 6′ barrel sauna fits six people with two-tier benches into a compact footprint that suits almost any backyard. The taller 7-foot diameter gives you an upper bench for more heat and a lower bench for less. It’s built in Northern Minnesota by Setri Barrel from Grade A knotty Western Red Cedar, with flat floors, winged roof edges and three coats of protective finish, and it arrives fully assembled.

Every Setri barrel sauna is built in Northern Minnesota from Grade A knotty Western Red Cedar. Cedar Sense is a Minnesota company too, based in Waubun, so this is a sauna we know inside and out.

Rinse off between rounds with Setri’s Western Red Cedar outdoor shower. It hooks up to a garden hose and matches your barrel sauna. The shower is only sold with the purchase of a barrel sauna, so add it to the same order.

Do I need a permit for a barrel sauna?
It depends on your local zoning. Many backyard barrel saunas count as small accessory structures and don't need one, but check with your city or county building department. We're happy to help with any documentation.
Do barrel saunas get hot in winter?
Yes. Thick cedar staves hold heat well, and these saunas reach 170°F to 190°F even in freezing weather. Many owners love winter sessions most.
What is the rule of 200?
A simple guide for traditional saunas: add the temperature in °F to the relative humidity in percent and aim for about 200. For example, 170°F with 30% humidity.
How long until it ships?
This sauna usually ships in 6 to 8 weeks. We confirm the timeline when you order and contact you before delivery.
What do I need to set it on?
A level, solid base. A concrete pad, pavers, a compacted gravel pad or a sturdy deck all work. Ask us if you're not sure about your spot.
Do I need an electrician?
For an electric heater, yes. Most need a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Wood-burning heaters need no electrical at all.
Can I pay over time?
Yes. Choose Affirm or Klarna at checkout to split your order into monthly payments, subject to approval. You can also save 4% by paying with check, ACH or wire.
What about the warranty?
