Cedar Sense has built over 2,000 wooden flags. This sauna-safe version uses weathered Norway pine, white pine, and western red cedar, assembled with screws and brad nails. Even the stars are laser cut and nailed on — never glued.
Most wooden flags were never made for a sauna.
A sauna is not a normal room. Heat changes everything. When stained wood, glued pieces, painted boards, or finished decor are placed inside a hot room, those materials can release unwanted odors and fumes into the same air you are sitting there to breathe.
That is why we built this flag with one simple rule: if it does not belong in the heat, it does not go on the flag. This is sauna decor made for sauna people.
No chemical finish
We do not use stain, polyurethane, paint, or top coat. The color and character come from the wood itself.

Hanging it outside the sauna?
Our sauna flag comes unfinished by design for customers who want natural wood decor inside the hot room. However, if you plan to hang your flag on the outside of the sauna, added protection is recommended.
We offer an optional oil-based polyurethane finish add-on for exterior display. This helps protect the wood from moisture, weather, and outdoor exposure.
