To start, what is a lemon?
Lemons are native to Asia, and it is predicted that they date all the way back to 200 AD. They are considered to be an evergreen tree and can produce fruit year-round. Lemon trees can produce up to 600 pounds of lemons each year! The most common type of lemons are the Eureka, Lisbon, and Meyer lemons.
Lemons are a hybrid between a sour orange and a citron, but they are technically classified as a berry. If you wanted to grow your own lemon tree, they grow best in temperatures between 50-80 degrees Fahrenheit, in well drain, slightly acidic soil, and need 6-8 hours of direct sunlight.

- Hair: for natural highlights, put lemon juice in your hair once a day for a week
- Health: lemon juice and warm water can soothe a sore throat. This is why the lemon health benefits are so awesome!
- Stains: rub the stained area with a cut edge of a lemon and hang to dry in the sunlight
- Cleaner: mix lemon juice with water and spray it on windows. Wipe it off with newspaper for a streak-free shine. In your garbage disposal, grind a lemon peel. While it’s grinding, run hot water, then cold water. This will deodorize and get rid of any gunk.
- Repellant: spray your window sills, baseboards, and edge of cupboards with lemon and vinegar to deter insects such as insects, ants, spiders, and cockroaches
